Start with the decision behind your search
A BAC student may need a housing plan that supports studio work, models, materials, and changing project hours. Confirm what can be safely stored or worked on in the apartment and what is restricted by the lease or building.
Compare the details that change your daily routine
Check commute at late studio hours, quiet, desk and storage space, transit, laundry, utilities, and household compatibility. Ask building management about deliveries and any project materials that could affect shared areas.
Prepare a clear rental plan
Review BAC’s current student resources, then confirm private property rules and lease terms in writing. Do not assume a residential unit permits commercial or workshop activity.
Keep a written record of the property address, lease dates, monthly costs, move-in amounts, included services, and the person authorized to receive payments. Availability and screening decisions are specific to each property. Verify the listing and payment instructions independently before sharing documents or money.
For a Massachusetts rental, review the current Attorney General’s guide to landlord and tenant rights and ask a qualified professional about questions that depend on your circumstances. You can share your timing, destination, budget, and housing priorities with Rita through the Boston rental inquiry form.
